Every La Belle Reine product is built from a short list of ingredients, each chosen for a reason. Here is what each one is, why it is there, and where you will find it.
Technically a liquid wax rather than an oil, jojoba closely resembles the natural oils your skin makes. It sinks in easily, leaves skin soft without a greasy finish, and stays fresh for a long time.
A light, fast-absorbing oil naturally rich in linoleic and linolenic fatty acids. It conditions dry skin and helps the complexion look smoother and more even.
Pressed from the kernels of the Moroccan argan tree. Its balance of fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamin E softens dry areas and gives skin a healthy, supple look.
One of the most stable plant oils known, thanks to its unusually long-chain fatty acids. It gives a silky, non-greasy feel, helps hold moisture in the skin, and keeps the whole blend fresher for longer.
A deep orange berry oil, naturally high in omega-7 fatty acids and carotenoids, which give it its colour. Used in small amounts, it nourishes dry skin and lends a radiant, glowing look.
Your skin produces squalene on its own; squalane is its stable, plant-derived form, made here from olives. It feels almost weightless and helps skin stay soft and moisturized.
A classic, gentle emollient used in skincare for generations. It smooths and softens, and glides easily over large areas of skin. Contains tree nut.
A clear, featherlight oil derived from coconut. It absorbs quickly, resists going rancid, and carries scent evenly, so the body oil feels light rather than heavy.
A rare oil containing punicic acid, a fatty acid found in very few plants. It adds a rich, velvety feel and leaves skin looking nourished.
A thick, glossy oil that gives lip products their cushion and shine. It helps colour glide on evenly and keeps lips feeling comfortable.
A rich butter from the nut of the West African shea tree. It melts on contact with skin and delivers deep, long-lasting moisture to very dry areas. We use a refined grade for a neutral scent.
Pressed from the seed of the mango fruit. Firmer and lighter-feeling than shea, it melts at skin temperature and leaves skin soft and smooth, with a less greasy finish.
Gives balms and lip products their structure. On skin it forms a light, breathable layer that helps hold moisture in and protects against dryness.
Golden calendula petals, slowly infused into jojoba oil. A time-honoured botanical in balms for dry, delicate skin, it adds comfort and softness.
A warm, resinous essential oil prized in skincare for centuries. It gives the facial oil its grounding, quietly luxurious aroma.
A rose absolute, one of the most precious materials in perfumery. A trace amount softens the frankincense with a true, fresh rose note.
Finely milled wild rose petals. They give the masque its soft blush tone and a gentle, natural floral character.
Ground lavender blossoms that bring a calm, herbal note to the masque ritual and a light botanical texture.
Mined in Morocco's Atlas Mountains and used in hammam rituals for centuries. Naturally rich in minerals, it lifts away excess oil and impurities and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean without feeling stripped.
The gentlest of the cosmetic clays. Soft white kaolin balances the lava clay, absorbing oil mildly so the masque suits most skin types.
A natural antioxidant that protects our plant oils from going rancid, keeping each product fresh from first use to last. It also conditions the skin.
Mineral pigments permitted for use on lips. They give our lip tints their sheer colour and soft shimmer.
